PRYOR Steel Type Holders .
Type Holders for use with Steel Type are available for use by hand and hammer application or for faster throughput Machine Holders are available for Press marking. Each style offers a wide choice of one and multi-line options with various capacities to suit all Type sizes. Type Holders are designed to provide accurate Type location and positive locking combined with ease of use and durability. The Steel Type is secured in place by means of a grub screw (Allen key supplied).
Pryor Steel Type Holders Features :
- Hand Holders are a comprehensive range of one piece units with varying slot sizes to give a choice of inscription length.
- Economy Safety Grip available as an accessory to work with Hand Holders allows the user to make a controlled and confident strike by keeping the fingers at a safe distance, reducing the risk of injury and assisting in making a good quality mark.
- Hand Holders for the larger Type sizes of 6.0mm and 10.0mm Type are designed with a retaining pin that fits through the groove in the steel type pieces for added user security. The Safety Type Holder is available for the large Type sizes on a make-to-order basis. An extended handle keeps the hammer a safe distance away from the fingers of the user and also assists the user to make a more controlled and confident strike for a good quality mark. - Holders for Presses are available as separate bodies and shanks in order that you can choose the best combination for your needs. A faster throughput of marked components can be achieved by using Steel Type in a Press.
- Holder Bodies provided with an M12 tapped hole in the back face to accept any of the interchangeable Shanks in our standard range.
- Holder Shanks are M12 threaded to suit any Holder Body in our standard rage.
